COOU Admission Requirements

The prerequisites listed below are for applicants who want to get admitted to COOU via JAMB (UTME):

• a minimum of five credits in the Ordinary Level Credits of the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) in no more than two sittings.
• For your course, you must select the appropriate JAMB subject combination. Examine the JAMB Brochure!
• Candidates who wish to be considered for admission to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University must score a minimum of 180 on the recently concluded JAMB UTME exam.
• Take part in the COOU Post-UTME/Screening in order to be eligible for admission, if any, for the upcoming year.
• Candidates must have achieved the age of 16.

COOU Admission Requirements For Direct Entry (DE) 2025/2026/2025

The prerequisites listed below apply to applicants who want to enter Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University COOU through Direct Entry:

• a minimum of five credits in the Ordinary Level Credits of the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) in no more than two sittings.
• Candidates must have passed the IJMB in two topics relating to their field of study or have earned an “A” level.
• JUPEB/A’ Level certification in relevant fields.
• a First Class or Second Class Upper degree in a similar discipline for the course you want to take.
• Candidates for direct entry must purchase the COOU Direct Entry form from the COOU Portal and the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
• A minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), and other Advanced Level Certificates.
• When you get to the post-UTME form page on the school website, select the Program and entrance level to view any additional criteria that may apply to specific programs.
