About Kwara State Polytechnic

Kwara State Polytechnic is a Nigerian tertiary institution. And it was established in 1973 by the then Military Governor of Kwara State Col. David Bamigboye. 

However, this was after the decision of establishing a polytechnic in Kwara State was announced in 1971.

It is located in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State. Also, Kwara State Polytechnic started with 110 pioneering students. And it offers National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in courses at undergraduate levels.

Furthermore, the College eventually came into existence following the promulgation of Kwara State Edict no. 4 of 1972. Though it is now overtaken by the edict no. 21 of 1984 edict No. 13 of 1987 and edict no. 7 of 1994.

The Kwara State Polytechnic formally commenced operation in January 1973. And this was with administrative machinery patterned closely after the existing universities in the country.

The Kwara State Polytechnic Portal for Result Checking

The management of the Kwara State Polytechnic has enabled its result checking portal. And it is for ND & HND (Part Time, Regular, Weekend, Pre-ND, Full Time) students to check their 1st and 2nd-semester test and others result online.

On that note, students of the polytechnic should follow the procedures below to check their results and how to calculate their GP, CGP, grades & scores. Log on to www.kwarapolyportal.org result

Please note that results appear online as they are uploaded. In case you check and it is not online yet, you may check back.

1. Go to Kwara State Polytechnic students portal.

2. Log in by entering your matric no (Reg Number) and password (Access code)

3. Also, select result checking

4. Additionally, click on check results and print if you choose to print it out

5. Then Log out.

Kwara State Polytechnic Post UTME Eligibility

The following are the major requirements for Kwara State Polytechnic UTME application:

1. Candidates must have chosen Kwara State Polytechnic as their first or second choice.

2. Also, candidates must have scored a minimum of 150 in the 2024 UTME.

3. However, for the following programmes, the candidates must have scored the marks shown against their choice of course.

Registration Process for Kwara State Polytechnic Post UTME

Applicants are to pay the screening fee of N2,000.00 only. And this is through the Interswitch Web pay platform using ATM Cards (Master Card, Verve Card and other Interswitch enabled Cards).

1. Go to Kwara Poly admission screening portal @https://portal.kwarastatepolytechnic.edu.ng/appo.php.

2. Click on the application link.

3. Also, create your profile by completing the form.

4. Thereafter, click on Resume Application on the left menu to continue. And Enter personal details on the next screen and click continue. Also, enter JAMB details alongside your first and second choices and click continue.

5. Furthermore, enter O’Level details with a number of sittings and click continue. And upload Passport Photograph (50KB maximum size) and click continue. And click on Screening Application on the left menu to continue.

6. Furthermore, read the declaration and click on Proceed button to continue. And upload your documents and click on “Upload and Continue”. Also, enter Next of Kin Information and click on Continue.

7. Also, read Payment Instructions carefully and click on the Notification Tab. And click on Continue to see payment details.

Also, click on the CollegePay button to proceed to payment. OR click on the Cancel button to end the payment process.

Also, the screening exercise will be ONLINE. Thus, candidates can check the result of the screening exercise from October 2024 from their respective portal.

Also, candidates should ensure that the data supplied is correct. This is because these will be used for official use throughout the period of their study in the Polytechnic.
