The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) is a Nigerian entrance examination board for tertiary-level institutions.

The board conducts the entrance Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for prospective undergraduates into Nigerian universities.

Price and Selling Points of JAMB Epin

JAMB officially said the registration epin (scratch card) will go for the price of N3,500 (three thousand five hundred naira only).

Payment for JAMB’s registration e-pin and the recommended reading text is done at the banks and other payment platforms. The banks have also agreed to make these services available at CBT centres and JAMB State Offices.

JAMB ePIN Selling Points

The selling outlets where you can get JAMB ePIN are:

  1. NIPOST and eleven Participating Banks (ACCESS, FCMB, FIDELITY, FIRSTBANK, JAIZ, Polaris, Stanbic IBTC, STERLING, UNION and UNITY).
  2. Mobile Money Operators: Paga, e-Transact, Pocket Moni, TEASYPay, Packway Projects (Readycash) and Xpress payment solutions.
  3. Participating Micro Finance Banks: Trust MFB, Zazzau MFB, Obeledun MFB and Regent MFB.
  4. Online Payment Platforms: System Specs (Remita), InterSwitch (Quickteller) Upper-link, e-Transact and United Payment Services (UPS).
  5. Cooperative Society: JAMB Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society.
  6. Others: Unique ICT, Digital Partners Network.
  7. POS (Citi-Serve).
  8. ATMs of banks listed in (1) above (InterSwitch).

Duties of Participating Banks/Outlets

  1. Collect the Profile Code from the candidate’s phone.

Methods of Payment / Procurement of JAMB ePIN Registration

1. PAYMENT THROUGH BANKS INCLUDING MICRO FINANCE BANKS:

  • Present Profile Code and pay by cash or card
  • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

2. PAYMENT THROUGH POS: This is available at State Offices of JAMB and CBT Centres, other POS outlets and any CBT Centre that demands it

  • Present Profile Code and pay by card
  • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

3. PAYMENT THROUGH MOBILE MONEY OPERATORS: This is available at CBT Centres and Other Outlets

  • Present Profile Code and pay by cash
  • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

4. PAYMENT USING ATM: This is available on all ATM outlets of Participating Banks listed in C(I) (InterSwitch Channel)

  • Select Bill Payment and then pick JAMB
  • Enter Profile Code and pay
  • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

5. ONLINE PAYMENT ON JAMB PORTAL

  • Visit the JAMB website: jamb.gov.ng

  • Login to the profile
  • On the menu on the left pane, click on 2024 Foreign UTME/DE registration
  • Go through guided questions until the payment page
  • Make payment using any of the authorized cards
  • Complete the registration directly online

How to Recover Lost E-pin After Payment

  1. If ePIN is not Received or Lost, send [UTMEPIN] or [DEPIN] to 55019 for UTME or DE respectively from the unique number
  2. The ePIN would then be retrieved and delivered on the candidate’s unique number

AFTER SUCCESSFUL PAYMENT AND OBTAINING ePIN, CANDIDATE SHOULD PROCEED TO ANY OF THE JAMB ACCREDITED CBT CENTRES TO COMPLETE HIS/HER REGISTRATION.

How to Get JAMB E-pins via Interswitch

Prospective candidates intending to register for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now obtain their ePINs from Thursday, April 8 2024, from enabled Interswitch platforms such as:

  • Quickteller Mobile App/Web
  • Quickteller Paypoint (Agents)
  • via payment with Interswitch WebPAY on JAMB’s website
  • payment using Interswitch Paydirect at any bank branch nationwide.

The Interswitch platforms simplify the registration process and eliminate the cumbersome JAMB registration process faced by many candidates nationwide.

For a seamless registration process, prospective candidates including those registering from foreign countries should follow these easy steps:

  1. Candidates should obtain the National Identification Number (NIN), this is mandatory.
  2. SMS ‘NIN’, space, & your 11-digit NIN number to 55019 e.g [NIN 00123456789]. Note that there should be a space between the word ‘NIN’ and your 11-digit NIN.
  3. You’ll receive an SMS with your 10-digit profile code and your registered NIN name.
  4. Visit the JAMB website, click purchase of 2024 application document, and enter your 10-digit.
  5. Select ‘Pay Online’ to pay on the website via Interswitch or pay via the Quickteller website/app or at the nearest Quickteller Paypoint outlet.
  6. Your ePIN will be delivered to your registered telephone number.

The cost of registration is N3,500 as directed by Federal Government since 2018. However, each candidate will also pay an additional N500 for reading text to be provided by CBT Centres at the point of registration.

    This is really nice.
    But some people are saying jamb registration starts from 14 of January and the Exams start from April 1 to 11 us this true?
